Hypnotherapy & Life Coaching
Imagine how nice it would be to finally be free of unhelpful habits or negative patterns of thinking. Hypnotherapy is a relatively fast and effective way to change deep-seated mental programming and to address unwanted behaviors. By bringing awareness to the subconscious and learning tools to help “rewire” brain patterns, change becomes so much easier.
One of the ways hypnotherapy works is by inviting the client into a state of deep relaxation. In such a relaxed state, the client can better access what is at the heart of an issue. People who have suffered for years from addictions, phobias, anxiety, digestive disorders, sleep problems and other health and emotional issues have found relief after just a few hypnotherapy treatments!
Life Coaching is an ongoing supportive relationship that not only helps you identify what your goals are, and what might be getting in the way to achieving them, it helps you come up with specific action plans to put that goal into motion. By meeting regularly, I then hold clients accountable to make sure they are following through with their plan of action, or adjust the plan if necessary.
It's a beautiful synergy when clients sign up for a life-coaching package, and then, if they hit a deeper block or pattern, they can explore hypnotherapy as a way to break through the blockage. I also teach hypnotic tools and techniques to use in between sessions so they can keep the feelings from their session fresh, in the days and weeks to come.
As the old proverb goes, “You are what you eat," or as I like to say, "You are what you digest." Unfortunately, so much of modern food and beverages are loaded with chemicals, additives, and stripped of nutrients that it’s not easy to find true nourishment. Also, there is such conflicting information with the latest health craze, that it’s hard to know what’s actually good for you.
My approach to nutrition is based on eating as many fresh, unprocessed, whole, organic foods as possible. I am practical and specific when giving nutritional advice, and I consider the needs of each individual.
When individuals discover which foods are hindering their health and which are helpful, they find more energy and emotional balance. Hypnosis, in conjunction with nutritional counseling, can help people implement new healthy eating habits. I'm amazed at how effective the two are when practiced together for helping people reach their healthiest potential!
Even though my approach is food based, I also work with specific supplements to help address certain issues or provide the body with extra support for rebuilding. My goal is to nourish a solid, healthy system that feels vital in daily life and strong enough to bounce back after the occasional indulgence. I believe true enjoyment of food comes from appreciating simple, fresh, and well-prepared foods that are compatible with long-term health.
Chi Nei Tsang Massage
Chi Nei Tsang was developed thousands of years ago by Taoist monks in the mountains of China. They found that it increased energy levels needed for meditation and brought about improved overall health. It is a powerful form of massage focusing on the abdominal region, where so many of the vital organs and the intestinal tract is located. When one experiences stress or negative emotions, there is a tightening of parts of our abdomen, blocking of essential oxygen and chi (energy flow). This is when digestive problems, chronic diseases, and aches and pains in other parts of the body manifest.
Chi Nei Tsang helps to release built-up tensions and emotions by massaging chi into vital organs, points along meridian pathways, and the intestinal tract. This can help digestive, metabolic, nervous, reproductive, & circulatory systems to function more efficiently again. The practice of Chi Nei Tsang does not attempt to cure illness, but rather, it works with the breath & body to make it more relaxed and aware of what it needs to inspire change in itself.
Many people have found Chi Nei Tsang to be especially helpful with digestion and detoxification of the body. It's also beneficial for sleep disorders, fertility challenges, IBS (Irritable Bowel Syndrome), nervous disorders such as anxiety and depression, auto-immune disorders such as Lupus and chronic fatigue, and in recovering from injury or surgery.
It's one of these things that can be difficult to describe but best when experienced for yourself!
